Reference only — not a guarantee of food safety. When in doubt, throw it out.
What you get
Bumper Year is free. It has no purchases, no subscription and no ads. You may use it on your own devices for your own household record-keeping.
Dates and guides are references
Keep-until dates, the use-next queue, season summaries and the PDF guides are there to help you keep track. The keep-until date comes from what you enter. The app cannot see, smell or test your jars, and it does not know how a batch was prepared, sealed or stored. Nothing in the app or on these pages is food-safety, medical or professional advice.
Your decisions about food
You decide whether a jar is safe to eat. Check seals, lids, color, smell and texture, follow a tested recipe and the guidance of your local food-safety authority, and discard anything you doubt. The developer of Bumper Year is not responsible for choices you make about food.
As is
The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. Your records live only on your device. If you delete the app or lose the device without a backup, they can be lost, and the developer cannot restore them.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer of Bumper Year is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for foodborne illness, spoiled food or lost records, arising from use of the app or these pages. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Ownership
The app, its text, layout, guides and artwork belong to the developer of Bumper Year and are licensed to you, not sold. You may not copy, modify or redistribute them, or extract them from the app, except as the law allows. The records and notes you enter are yours.
Apple
These terms are between you and the developer of Bumper Year, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. The license for the app is also covered by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, which applies where these terms are silent.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The version published here is the current one, with its effective date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
